Youth Engagement Fund (YEF)

Rivera Consulting and Youth Engagement Fund (YEF), a philanthropic intermediary helping young people of color flex their power, have been working in partnership for over five years.

The collaboration began in 2018 with executive coaching, where we supported the new Executive Director in the development of her goals and action planning for her leadership and vision of YEF and the grantmaking strategy for movement partners (grantees). Since 2020, we have led organizational and staff development planning and implementation processes with the full YEF team and their movement partners in Arizona and Georgia.

We have combined healing justice, participatory asset mapping, and popular education tools to meet organizational goals, objectives, and mission. We then leveraged this baseline of work, to assess the current impact of their current 2018 – 2023 strategic plan as well as to identify YEF’s internal assets and external opportunities.
