Rhia Ventures

Established over four years ago, Rhia Ventures (501c3) and Rhia Capital Venture Fund (for-profit subsidiary of Rhia Ventures, “the Fund”) is a hybrid organization that is dedicated to maternal and reproductive health access through research, impact investment of reproductive health innovations, and communications. Through the application of a racial and gender equity research and communications lens, Rhia Ventures works closely with the Fund to ensure that they are supporting products that can reach larger populations and become market Medicaid fundable over time. Over this short-term period, the Fund has experienced proven market profit success in the areas of on-hormonal contraception, male hormonal contraception, and biodegradable pads. With twelve companies under their portfolio and a team of five staff—including a primary principal investor—the non-profit subsidiary has become largely self-sufficient. This is also embedded in its current separate governance structure from Rhia Ventures.
