BTD - Fare Free Project

Beginning in September 2022, Rivera Consulting partnered with Stantec on an evaluation of the Fare Free Bus Program commissioned by the City of Boston’s Transportation Department.

In the first phase of the project, Rivera Consulting led five focus groups with riders and developed deliverables to communicate rider experience to City leadership. Since then, our firm has led focus groups with bus operators and community-based organizations to complement this rider-driven evaluation and will be shaping final recommendations for the potential continuance of this program at the end of 2023 with a second round of rider-based focus groups.
